Chinese company RunCore has created what secret agencies would love to get their hands on, a self destructive data storage device!

RunCore recently launched a solid-state drive called the InVincible SSD, which promises the highest data protection possible from third party access. The SSD comes with a SATA II interface and boasts of a data reading speed of 240mbps and a writing speed of 140mbps. It’s capable of surviving under 45C to 95C as well.

The most important feature of the InVincible SSD is that it comes with two long wires that have two buttons: Green and Red. The Green button, once pressed, would erase all your data which is known as the Intelligent Destruction.

Pressing the red button initiates the physical destruction, this happens when a jolt of high voltage electricity damages the circuit boards and chips inside, making it impossible to retrieve data.

RunCore InVincible SSD comes in several storage capacities.

Just four days before the launch of Samsung’s cloud service, we hear from another Korean manufacturer.

LG unveiled its flagship LG Cloud service on Monday enabling its users to access their files from any LG device, be it LG phone, tab or internet connected TV.

The standard offer is 5GB free storage per person while the owners of LG Smart TV and Smartphones can expect 50GB free for six months. As of now, users are limited to 2GB per upload.

Currently available in US and Korea, the service will sync content across devices effortlessly. LG claim that there’s little or no lag time in LG Cloud as the content is streamed, not downloaded first.

LG says in a statement that “The difference is in LG’s Real-time Streaming Transcoding technology. The conversion happens on the server in real time, not on the device. There’s no need to worry about installing codecs or converters, everything happens seamlessly and in the background with no involvement from the user.”

LG expects to offer paid and free Cloud features with storage and pricing options as soon as its global rollout takes place.

Users can access LG Cloud via LG Cloud app by downloading it from Google Play, LG SmartWorld or lgecloud.com.

Android phones with Android 2.2 or higher are recommended for the LG Cloud, while PCs running on XP and Smart TVs with Netcast 2.0 and higher.

A recent dig from Nokia Italy says that Nokia 808 Pureview is available for pre-order for 599 Euros ($785). So, it seems that the device will come to Europe first.

Nokia PureView is the first Nokia device to feature the revolutionary PureView imaging solutions. What makes 808 PureView special is its large high-resolution 41 mp sensor, superior Carl Zeiss optics and the brand new pixel over exampling technology.

The phone’s high resolution sensor makes it possible to capture an image and bring out previously unseen details using many of its tools. The PureView imaging technology comes with superior low-light performance making it possible to capture professional looking images under any conditions. Once the images are saved in compact file sizes, they’re easy to share via email, MMS etc.

The phone’s hardware details include a 4-inch AMOLED display, 16GB internal memory, Dolby Audio surround, all running on Symbian Belle.

Japanese company Toray Advanced Film Co is ready to out its self-cure coat film to the open market.

This self healing coat would be welcomed by many users who has to take extra care of their expensive devices. Toray’s new film uses a wet coating method which adds a special self-healing layer to protect PET films. This also has cushioning and expandable abilities.

During its testing sessions the film was able to recover from scratches made by a metal brush. Toray has revealed that keeping temperatures as low as possible will help quicken the recovery process and the film will get back to its glossy self by 10 seconds or less.

However this “Self-cure Coat Film” or protective layer is meant for simple scratches. If your device is pierced or heavily damaged, then this definitely won’t help. Toray has been supplying this product for specialty devices so far and just announced their intention to mass produce it.

The Korean manufacturer has recently announced that the Voice Control functionality for its Smart TV Magic Remote will begin in April.
The Magic Remote dates back to 2010 which enables users to browse the UI in a Wiimote like manner. With the addition of Voice Control users can give voice commands and easily carry out searches.

With Voice Control, the LG Smart TV has out shined Samsung and Sony who has no parallel device to offer as of now!
